This is a collection of photo diaries where I’ve attempted to highlight the people, culture, landscapes, and food of the places I’ve visited. Travel is an incredibly important part of my life and Stories From is intended to represent my voice and my experiences.

As a User Experience designer I find it useful and fascinating to see how travel has forced me to be more aware and empathetic. By this I mean, I find the most enjoyment when I try to understand people and their experiences even when they may be completely different than my own. Whether it is language, culture, or societal norms — people do things differently and I get more from travel when I adapt and empathize. This, to me, is one of the most interesting things about UX, understanding why people don’t understand, and then designing to help them understand.
